Documentation is strongest when the scope is written.
This page explains how to frame a product-specific quality enquiry. It does not replace the exact specification, lot file or your own technical review.
Specification
The specification defines the material, grade, key parameters and accepted basis for the quoted product. It should be version-controlled and referenced in the quote.
Batch COA
Confirm whether the analytical report is representative or tied to the specific lot. Match product, lot number, methods and limits to the transaction.
Safety data
Request SDS availability for the exact material and pack where applicable. The buyer still remains responsible for local handling and import requirements.
Independent testing
If your QA process requires a third-party test, define the laboratory, sample, method, acceptance criteria and cost before testing begins.
A claim is only as useful as its scope.
For any certificate or report, ask who it covers, what site and product it applies to, and whether it can be tied to the order.
